Monday, February 2, 2009 We dropped our Murano off at the body shop to be repaired and we drove to Salt Lake. We stayed at the Crystal Inn, the family favorite hotel.
Tuesday, February 3, 2009 We had the Crystal Inn shuttle drop us off at the airport at 5:30 am for our Continental Airlines flight at 6:40 am. We flew to Houston right on schedule, but found out that our connecting flight to NY-LaGuardia had been CANCELLED! They rescheduled us on a later flight, but after walking long distances to the new gate, Dad realized that flying in to Newark would be more convenient. He inquired if we could switch to Newark, and since it was their fault, not ours, they agreed to switch us at no charge. It helped that we didn't have check-in bags. We arrived in Newark much sooner than our LaGuardia flight would have been, which worked out better for everyone. By the way, Dad made a new BFF on the flight, Allesandra, who is from Venezuela, but now lives in Houston and gave him all her contact information so that he can stay with her next time he is in Houston. Yes, this is your father; are you surprised? We took the train from Newark airport to the Edison train station,so that Chrislynn and children could pick us up.
We had to take little Richie's picture when he was not looking, since he is now too cool to pose.We babysat the little ones that night while Dad was at rehearsal and Mom was at Young Women's.
Thursday, February 5 We enjoyed another day of fun with the Call family. That night we took care of the bedtime routine again while Chrislynn went to see Richie's play.
Friday, February 6 After spending another wonderful day in Piscataway, Dad & Mother attended The Merry Wives of Windsor in which Richie had 2 hilarious roles. He was amazing! This is how he gave a shout-out his princess: "Richie (Caius and Nim - MFA III) is from Blanding, Utah. He received his BFA in acting at Utah State University. Rutgers University credits include: Blue/Orange, Stones in his Pockets, In Arabia, We'd All be Kings, Reckless, The Rise and Rise of Daniel Rocket and In the Sawtooths. Professional credits include: Cardigans, Rivals, and Cash on Delivery." Sneaky, huh?
Eryka drove over to attend the play with us. Of course, Dad made another friend at the play. Her recognized pro-golfer Tom Kite sitting in front of us and introduced himself at the end of the show.
Saturday, February 7 Eryka had taken us to Tuckahoe after the play, so the next morning Grandpa and Grandma woke up to spend the day lovingly spending time with Isaac, Stella, and Joaquin while their parents went snowboarding with David Letterman (yes, THAT David Letterman!) Poor little Joaquin was still throwing up and decided only Grandpa was allowed to comfort him.
Sunday, February 8 Worthy & Gail went to church with Drew, Isaac, and Stella (as well as all the celebrities in their ward). Eryka stayed home with Joaquin who was still sick. After church, Stella and Joaquin climbed into the wagon for a walk around the block in the fresh air. Eryka made a yummy roast beef dinner and an awesome black forest cake. After dinner Grandma finally gave Joaquin an ultimatum: "I'm not leaving until you warm up to me!" The diabolical little kid IMMEDIATELY started playing with me! It was as if he knew what it would take to get me out of his way, and swallowed his pride to do it.
Monday, February 9 Richie, Chrislynn and children came over to NY to spend quality time with the Glovers. We all had fun playing games, singing with Grandpa, and eating Eryka's yummy food. After the Call family left to return to NJ, we had a little Family Home Evening by conference call with Drew who was still at work. Corporate attorneys work loooong hours.
Tuesday, February 10 We flew home from New York, and dad again made friends with the lovely young Brazilian girl who was sitting next to him on the plane. She is LDS and now lives in Orem.
Wednesday, February 11 We had lunch with Tim, Nancy, & Gavin before we drove home to Blanding. Can you say JET LAG?!
Thursday, February 12 We returned to work and picked up the Murano -- it's still not fixed -- another long story!
Thank you to all our wonderful children and grandchildren for supporting us and loving us on our travels and adventures. We are truly blessed. We love you all!

Just a note of clarification on my talking with strangers and making new friends. When our flight was changed Gail and I had to sit in middle seats and in different rows. She was behind me and she talked for four hours straight with the lady next to her. I only talked for two hours with the lady next to me (Alesandra). She was flying to Scotland to go to her grandmother's funeral. She was from Venesuala but now living in Houston. Her father was from Italy and her mother from Scotland. We talked alot about family and I gave her an Aticles of Faith Card. She was very friendly and invited both Gail and I to visit her.
When I started reading this post, I did a double-take on the part where you dropped the Mirano off at the body shop, because Dad just gave me a ride to Morgan's play the other day in it, and I could have sworn it was still beat up. Then, when I read the rest of the post, I saw where you said the Mirano still was not fixed. I guess I will have to get the rest of the story from you.

We loved having you here and are so grateful that you took the time, money and effort for the quick visit. Richie and Sophia miss you, and so do their parents.
I'm glad you had a good visit with the kids and that you're home safe. Thank you for the lovely card you sent. We love you and your family. Thanks for all your prayers. Everything is going well. They told us not to worry if the tumor is shrinking or not because they mainly want to harden up for surgery, but we can tell it IS getting smaller. Your family is the greatest!
